What is "Design Card"?
A Design card, is a place, where the user enters all the information about design, its raw material, labour and manage all its variants and sub designs.
What is "Speaking No."?
Speaking No. is a code of 20 characters, comprises of 9 different parameters, which maintains the uniqueness of your each design and its variants for the whole company.
What is the different between "Variants", "Speaking No." and "Model Item No."?
Variants are the different permitation a design can be made for example same design can be made with a changes in 9 parameters followed by DSVC for example 14K, 18K or in Yellow Gold, White Gold
Speaking No. are codes which are assigned to different Variants, so the user can refer them any time with the help of Speaking No.
Model Item No. are the assigned to each variant, when the user confirms to manufacture that variant.
Can I create the model card without design card?
Yes. User can create the model card directly but cannot maintain the breakup cost.
How many pricing code on "Calculation Formula?
Unlimited, there is no limitation in DSVC to create pricing codes
Can system provide over Alloy facility through setups
Yes. DSVC provide facility to calculate over alloy in casting process through setup.
What is the purpose of "Location Journal" and "Emp. Transaction Header" screen?
"Location Journal" screen is used to transfer your production orders from one location to another.
"Emp.Transaction Header" is used to transfer your production orders to employee in a location.
What is the purpose of "Packing Journal" screen?
Packing Journals are used when the production department has finished their activity and ready to make an Output record. Packing Journals do multiple validations on production orders before any output entry is made and production orders are closed.
What is the purpose of "Stone Room Transfer" screen?
"Stone Room Transfer" is used when stone department makes bagging (removing required stones from loose stock and issuing to production order). Stone room transfer reserves the stock against production order, which can be issued to employee for merging in a piece.
What are design status?
Design Status refers to the current state of the design in the system. There are 4 different status in DSVC
- Design Entry : This is the first stage in a design card, it will have for every design, when a concept information is entered design card shows Design Entry
- Model Making : This is the second stage in design card, when the concept is approved and issued to model making department.
- In Production : This is the third stage in design card, when the model making is completed and production team can start production for all the variants of the designs.
- Deactivated : This is the stage, where you block the design and its all variants for sales and production
What is the "Sub Design"?
"Sub Design" is useful in the situation where the speaking Number is same but because of some changes in the Raw Material its variants and pricing needs to be treated separetly. For Example in case of Rings, Bangles, Bracelets etc. where depending on size raw material gets changed.
Can DSVC gives past and future pricing details?
Yes, DSVC is capable of providing pricing details of past, present and future pricing
